它说东风,东风不一定来,不要诧异啊,东风西风一般样:如同吃西瓜是吃,吃东瓜还是吃,东瓜西瓜都是果,名称不同而已——重要的是你在吃东西,在“吃”,不在东西的歧异——佛法以人为本,以生命为皈依,只认生命本身是真实的;一切事相随时变迁幻化起起灭灭,是虚假不真实的。所以佛经千帙万卷,辉辉煌煌,都是本性的灵光,是人出生以来即有的至性、真情,只因为后来被社会污染了,荼毒了,如同血溅净水,粪涂白壁,就失去了干净纯洁,失去了和睦雍容,变成杀伐竞争的禽兽,迷生忘死了。
It’s the nature of Zen that when the east wind is mentioned, the breezing might not be a surprise if not from it. There is no difference between the wind from the east and the one from the west, like melons are all from melon trees with different names; eating the melon from the west is the same as taking one from the east -- what is trying to be being passed is the joy of eating not the difference of what is being eaten – Dharma is for person taking refuge in life. It only acknowledges the selfness of real flesh. All things will change from void to existence, from emptiness to fullness, from birth to death, being deceitful and untrue. In the sea of scriptures, there is that Glory of the true selfness of all things, the very nature coming from the birth of life, once being resplendent and shining, only falls into the evil destinies like the splash of blood into the clean water, bowel pasted on the clean wall, losing karmic merits and the graceful harmony, being lost in the wistful maze of life and death with malevolency and beastliness.

佛法,就是要你唤醒良知,涤净灵魂。
Dharma is to awaken the spiritual consciousness and purify the soul.

佛法,注重真真切切的开悟,和彻内彻外的实践,“理可顿悟,事要渐修”,它是要在人的身体胸腔里面,建立一个光明温暖的乐园。
Dharma is for the true enlightenment and practice with the heart; “Suchness can be enlightened, Thusness needs practices;" it is to create a land of bliss inside a person’s mind.

禅宗六祖慧能大师,曾在广州法兴寺留下一宗公案,原来,寺外竖的旗竿上,挂了一面长幡,风吹幡动,引起两个小和尚对缘起究竟的争辩:
The 6th Patriarch Master Hueinen left a legend at Faxing Temple of Guongzhou. That one day, a pennant was blown about by the wind, two Bhikkhus entered into dispute:

“看!风在飘动!”
”Look! The wind is moving.”

“咄!这不是风飘动,是幡在飘动!”
”Nah! It is not the wind moving, it is the pennant.”

“是风动!没有风,幡不会飘,幡因风而显,主因是风,是风动!”
”It is the wind! Without the wind, the pennant would not move. The pennant is moved by the wind. Since the wind is the cause, it is the wind moving!”

“不不!是幡动!没有旗幡,又怎么知道有风?风因旗幡而显,旗幡是主因,应是幡动!”
”No, no! It is the pennant! Without the pennant, how to know there is wind? The wind shows its course because of the pennant. Since pennant is the cause, it is the pennant moving!”

慧能大师当即立斩,一声断喝:“不是风动,不是幡动,是仁者心动!”
Master Hueinen interrupted them and shouted: “It is not the wind moving, nor the pennant. It is your mind moving.”

这一声喝,推倒知识上的东墙西墙,见到了自性的青天与白云,断开了人生的彷徨徘徊的迷障。这一宗公案分山引水,可以作无限的推理应用:
It is this shouting that crashes all barriers of knowledge, showing the way of true Essence of Mind and annihilating all evil karmas. This legend marked the knowing and the unknowing, and is free of emancipation:

当你工作苦闷,认定某人可憎可恶,被人骗钱、撞车、排挤暗算时,不要颓丧,走出人情的陋巷到慧能的大草原透透气吧:“不是他害你,不是你被他害,是你胸襟气度窄,忍不下容不下他,狗咬狗!”#p#分页标题#e#
When feeling depressed, thinking someone nauseous, being racketed, crashed, supplanted and intrigued, don’t be defeated, walk into Master Hueinen’s pure grassland to get some fresh air instead, and, soon one will realize “It is not that person has intrigued you, it is not you being intrigued. All is because of one's own temperament not seeing the true nature of self, thus the dog bites dog!”

你失意失恋失败失宠,深夜难眠,觉得孤独寂寞时,让慧能为你破解:“须菩提,应如是生清净心,不应住色生心,不应住声、香、味、触、法生心,应无所住,而生其心——朋友啊!生死如梦,不要执著,速速把心清净下来!不要让尘境污染你的纯真心,不要让世情剥掠你的爱心,赶快埋弃一切妄想是非,泅出生命的苦海,看看千古明灭的星空吧!”
When you are depressed, frustrated, defeated, deserted, failed to sleep deep in the darkness, and solitary and doleful, at that time, let Master Hueinen refute you and take you refuge in the way of Zen: “The attainment of Bodhi is from one’s pure mind, not from a material heart with desire of gunas – sight, sound, smell, taste, touch, and thought; only with complete emptiness of Essence of Mind, Buddhahood can be reached --- my friends! Life and death is just a delusion. There is no Bodhi tree; Nor stand of a mirror bright. Empty your mind, So no dust can alight. Don’t let the mundane world defile your heart, abandon all hindrance of karma, save yourself from the ocean of misery of life. Embrace the fullness of shining stars of the skies of eons! “

当你生命恹倦时,找慧能去!他有一个风月无边的广大天地,时时怡悦,处处清凉!
When being tired of life, ask for The Holiness Master Hueinen! There is an unbounded Bodhi Land of his, full with happiness and emptiness!
